How long ago was it that Canada made it legal for gay people to get married?

                    Here is your explanation....

It is not your RIGHT to enter the US.

Do it how we say or fuck off.

You know full well (as a private citizen) I couldn't carry a concealed weapon into Canada.

Especially if I didn't fill out the magical non-existent paperwork to do so....

Even a two year old may be able to understand that they did not fill out the required paper work to enter the US...they were provided the opportunity to do so and refused.

I don't understand what the confusion is.

Two guys entering the US cannot enter without filling out seperate forms.

It doesn't matter if they are married in another country. When entering the US, two males need to fill out seperate forms.

You know, if the US tried telling Canada what should be required for US citizens to enter Canada, everyone would be complaining that the US was trying to run Canada and didn't recognize Canada's sovereign right to rule themselves.

Ok I agree with you that they were provided paperwork to enter NOT disputing that......

But they had they paper work filled out that any other MARRIED canadian couple would have needed to enter the USA ...they were asked to fill out additional paperwork because the USA did not recognise their paperwork that they had filled out because they were both men....

that makes it simpler..the were not allowed to enter the usa with the paperwork that they had because they were both men with paperwork that said that they were married in canada.....

If they were entering back into Canada with the same paperwork they would not have had any problems i assume.....

I guess what it boils down to is that you are right .....they probably COULD have filled out the paperwork that they were asked to fill out by the border patrol....

These 2 men must have had enough respect for each other thier love and thier union to not believe in and or to submit to what another country had to say about thier views and their union.

I think the law should be changed, and gays should be able to marry. But I also believe pot should be legal. What I think does not matter, what matters is the LAW!!!!

If I were married and my husband and I were visiting a country, that the border said "our country doesn't recognize you 2 as being legally married, fill out individual paperwork, you can enter our country and still be together, but unfortunately you won't be recognized as married" ...I'd be like "Ok no problem".

It has nothing to do with RESPECT for each other's love and union, its about having RESPECT for the country you are entering. They were more than welcome to cross over the border and be together, hold hands, fuck in a hotel... whatever... EXCEPT be recognized as a legal marriage.

A 2 year old could follow your explanation yes... children are easy to brainwash with misguided and opinionated information. Follow the facts and laws, not their "offended feelings".

Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands? ~Ernest Gaines

Homosexuality is god's way of insuring that the truly gifted aren't burdened with children. ~Sam Austin

If homosexuality is a disease, let's all call in queer to work: "Hello. Can't work today, still queer." ~Robin Tyler

No government has the right to tell its citizens when or whom to love. The only queer people are those who don't love anybody. ~Rita Mae Brown, speech, 28 August 1982

I get sick of listening to straight people complain about, "Well, hey, we don't have a heterosexual-pride day, why do you need a gay-pride day?" I remember when I was a kid I'd always ask my mom: "Why don't we have a Kid's Day? We have a Mother's Day and a Father's Day, but why don't we have a Kid's Day?" My mom would always say, "Every day is Kid's Day." To all those heterosexuals that bitch about gay pride, I say the same thing: Every day is heterosexual-pride day! Can't you people enjoy your banquet and not piss on those of us enjoying our crumbs over here in the corner? ~Rob Nash

I remember when I was a kid I'd always ask my mom: "Why don't we have a Kid's Day? We have a Mother's Day and a Father's Day, but why don't we have a Kid's Day?" My mom would always say, "Every day is Kid's Day." To all those heterosexuals that bitch about gay pride, I say the same thing: Every day is heterosexual-pride day! I think that a lot of us agree with you on gay rights (except for the usual gay bashers who are probably still in the closet).

But that still doesn't change the fact that those men were not denied the "privilege" to come to the U.S.

They chose to want things their way, and when they didn't get it they threw a temper tantrum.

Nah. I agree with some of the stuff you said. But I do think it was just an issue of paperwork, and I do think if the situation was reversed we'd be discussing US imperialism instead of gay rights. ;)

You are right......And you know what I would have probably signed the fucking papers right along with my boyfriend to get into a country i wanted to go to.....Obviously it wasnt THAT important for these guys to come to the USA or they would have done the same......

Personally I have dealt with this shit for so long that I really dont give a fuck what people think about me or who I love or how much cock I suck in my bedroom...If you dont fuckin like it then dont look.....I can continue to pay more for a seperate health insurance policy I can afford to pay more for other things because I dont have to deal with some of the bullshit that straight people have to...

I guess for now that if I wanna be gay I will have to deal with the world that I am gay in...but if there are those of us that choose NOT to say anything then how the hell do we expect it to get changed.

I am sure that if they came right out and banned selling porn on the internet that a lot of people in here would have something to say about that.....

right on! You get nothing done by sitting in the corner and accepting your 'fate'

Yes, they probably knew exactly what was going to happen and that they could get publicity for their cause. Human rights campaigners throughout history have done similar things. And guess what, we are talking about it.

Look at what we all do for a living and you guys want to talk about morality?

I cant fucking BELIEVE that some of these reactions are coming from the adult webmaster community here.....

Like some of this SHIT ....

"dam, send the fags to mexico i dont want to pay tax dollars for them,"

I bet you sure as fuck would take thier credit card if they were signing up for a membership to one of your sites.....

"Sounds like these guys wanted to make a big deal out of it though or they'd have filed seperately and went in"

Would you make a big deal out of it if you went to another country and lets say for example that you and your wife were in a car accident and you get to the hospital and they tell you sorry you cant see her only her maternal family can?

"Homosexuality is the Hula Hoop of today.

Eventually the fad will pass, at least until the next unnatural abomination comes along.."

Abonination? What the fuck ever look at some of the porn sites that are marketed on the net today and you wanna talk aboination with gays? What the fuck EVER....

This whole isssue PISSES me off......Who the hell is anybody else to tell me who I can or cannot love or who I can or cannot sleep with,,,,,,Or to even tell me that it is wrong.....

I dont think that gays and lesbians deserve "SPECIAL" rights, I think that we deserve EQUAL rights...And that includes the right to marry and file our taxes together and if we want to to be covered by each others health insurance etc.

I have been with my lover for almost 10 years....Why the hell shouldnt we be afforded these same rights that are GUARANTEED to to others under the constitution and the laws of the USA.....

I was born here.....I dint ASK to be gay.... I came this way.....Why the fuck would anybody in thier right mind CHOOSE to be part of a class of people that are shunned and not afforded the same rights as others....... Like I said it wasnt a choice I was delivered in to this life this way.....I couldnt not be and would not want to be straight even if I tried.......

I think it matters not what the person that you love looks like feels like or has betwen thier legs as long as you LOVE them with all of your heart and soul.....

Its fucked up that some of you in this industry still have your eyes CLOSED or are squinting or looking through Rose colored glasses to make shit ok in your part of the world.....Come live in mine for a few days.........

The point is this gay couple would still give the same fucking info either way. They just wanted to be noted as having the legal marital status of a couple that Canada legally granted them.

That's simple enough to me and it should have been given to them.

But no the USA had to make them declare they weren't legally married when in FACT they were legally married.

That's simple enough to me and it should have been given to them.

It is immaterial if they are legally married in Canada...they are not legally married in the US and and US Regulations/Laws are the only thing that is applicable. If while in country for example one was placed in intensive care from...let us say a car wreck...the other would not be allowed to visit...because they are not immediate family...why because in the US they are not legally married thus are not immediate family...and that is just a mere hospital reg and not a Customs reg.

By its text, women are not specifically excluded from the vote. During the next two years, approximately 150 women will attempt to vote in almost a dozen different jurisdictions from Delaware to California, including the Grimke sisters in Boston, Sojourner Truth in Battle Creek, MI, and Matilda Joselyn Gage in New York. Even in South Carolina, a few black women, protected by Reconstruction officials, cast ballots.

Anthony is arrested, tried, found guilty, and fined $100, which she refuses to pay.
