imagine if it were some 40yearold and his 12 yearold "wife" from some country to accepts that. should we let them fill out the form too?Originally posted by KRL
That is a morality issue though. We should not impose our morals on tourists from Canada. I don't think that's right or fair to do.
What harm are they doing? Two people love each other and we deny them entry into this country because of that??? Fuck that is just not right, whether they are a man and a woman, or a woman and a woman, or a man and a man.333-765-551Comment

Why are the parades called "Gay Pride" then? That's only marching in a parade for one cause. They aren't "gay and straight pride" parades. So therefore, they are isolating themselves from the rest of society that isn't gay.Originally posted by sarah_webinc
just because you march in a parade once a year doesn't mean you isolate yourself from anyone. It means that once a year you march in a parade.
If heterosexuals held parades for "Straight Pride" ...There would be some gays starting riots and crying discrimination. It just seems, like some of them try to make it a point, that they are special or different, when they are just humans with different preferences, like everyone else.Comment

the parades only make the divide larger in my opinion due the way they act, walking naked down streets when there are kids around, ect. tho i know straight ppl who march in those parades as well.Originally posted by Furious_Female

Oh, and there are pleanty of parades that gay people aren't allowed to march in if they identify themselves as gay. When I lived in Boston it was a yearly issue.
Also, I have never known a gay pride parade that doesn't allow straight people to march. In fact, PFLAG (parents and friends of lesbians and gays) has always been embraced everywhere I have been.
I don't know how much you know about the fight for gay (read: equal) rights but most of the parades are a homage to Stonewall. The mark of the start of people who bravely stood up for their rights.Comment

In 30 years gay marriage will probably be federal law if only because metrosexuals and freshmen are steeped in sex and there's a huge generation gap. In the meantime Europe will snicker about the archaic laws on a daily basis.

Let me just state for the record that I think gays should be able to be married via civil services in the US.
I also think that people should fill out their customs form properly acccording to the laws of the land they are trying to enter.Comment

Being gay isn't a nationality like being Puerto Rican is. Being gay can be in any race, religion or culture. There's no Gayixco country, that has won and lost battles, established a culture, a government etc. My point is, I think it's excess to put up flags and make an extreme point of their preference. I am heterosexual, I wouldn't hang a flag on my house because I am proud of that. I wouldn't do that if I were a lesbian either. Sometimes I think it just goes too far and makes a mockery of equal rights, because there's nothing equal about that. 2 gay men holding hands, walking down the street is just as good a "pride statement" as marching in a parade. People will still receive the same message.Originally posted by sarah_webinc

Which is a fair enough view, even if I disagree. It is worth noting that more gay people don't march in those parades than do. As with any cause it is the people with the loudest voices that get heard.Originally posted by Furious_Female

There is no one singular gay mindset. Just sometimes people like to get together and honour the people that fought for their rights and also to have a party without looking over their shoulder. Standing up to be counted.Comment

Then I'm going to scream to high hell about it -- when I don't get in....

heres what i found http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?n...d=140309&rfi=8
andA spokesman for Triangle Foundation, a gay advocacy group, last week decried the straight pride parade.
"It mocks the gay community," said Sean Kosofsky, adding that such a parade is akin to celebrating white pride.
http://www.freep.com/news/locoak/noak17_20020617.htm
Gay activists who attended Sunday's parade said the crowd was anything but joking. The parade, with marchers chanting "Straight is great" and pumping their fists in the air, looked like an antigay rally, not a celebration, said Sean Kosofsky of the Triangle Foundation.cant use the same street?Kosofsky said organizers further mocked the gay community by holding the parade on the same street as the gay-pride festival and during gay-pride month.
i think this proves my point.

How the fuck did this turn into a parade thread?
Fact of the matter is border agents asked people to fill out their form(s) correctly (as it applies to US law) -- and the people got pissed and went home.
Hardly a story.

Jesus........
I cannot belive some of the SHIT that I am reading in here........
Look at what we all do for a living and you guys want to talk about morality?
I cant fucking BELIEVE that some of these reactions are coming from the adult webmaster community here.....
Like some of this SHIT ....
"dam, send the fags to mexico i dont want to pay tax dollars for them,"
I bet you sure as fuck would take thier credit card if they were signing up for a membership to one of your sites.....
"Sounds like these guys wanted to make a big deal out of it though or they'd have filed seperately and went in"
Would you make a big deal out of it if you went to another country and lets say for example that you and your wife were in a car accident and you get to the hospital and they tell you sorry you cant see her only her maternal family can?
"Homosexuality is the Hula Hoop of today.
Eventually the fad will pass, at least until the next unnatural abomination comes along.."
Abonination? What the fuck ever look at some of the porn sites that are marketed on the net today and you wanna talk aboination with gays? What the fuck EVER....
This whole isssue PISSES me off......Who the hell is anybody else to tell me who I can or cannot love or who I can or cannot sleep with,,,,,,Or to even tell me that it is wrong.....
I dont think that gays and lesbians deserve "SPECIAL" rights, I think that we deserve EQUAL rights...And that includes the right to marry and file our taxes together and if we want to to be covered by each others health insurance etc.
I have been with my lover for almost 10 years....Why the hell shouldnt we be afforded these same rights that are GUARANTEED to to others under the constitution and the laws of the USA.....
I was born here.....I dint ASK to be gay.... I came this way.....Why the fuck would anybody in thier right mind CHOOSE to be part of a class of people that are shunned and not afforded the same rights as others....... Like I said it wasnt a choice I was delivered in to this life this way.....I couldnt not be and would not want to be straight even if I tried.......
I think it matters not what the person that you love looks like feels like or has betwen thier legs as long as you LOVE them with all of your heart and soul.....
Its fucked up that some of you in this industry still have your eyes CLOSED or are squinting or looking through Rose colored glasses to make shit ok in your part of the world.....Come live in mine for a few days.........Every exit is an entrance to somewhere else.....Comment
