Yeh it was amazing she survived that a couple years ago. Going 60MPH and a car in front of her blew a tire and swerved towards her lane. She panick accelerated and steered the wheel too hard to the right to avoid it and the car nailed her back bumper as she was swerving and sent her into a roll.Originally posted by ytcracker

The FHP said she flipped 3 times and skidded on the roof after the last flip over a hundred feet. They couldn't believe she lived either.
When I arrived she had already been transported to the hospital with only minor injuries. But I didn't know that yet and I just saw parts of the SUV all over the placel, it sitting upside down crushed and this huge black tarp which they were using to soak up the oil and gas, but I thought it was her under the tarp and thought she had been killed.
What saved her right above her head the roof crushed into a pyramid triangle shape so when it was upside down she was literally suspended but not getting her head crushed or neck broken.
Amazingly she was released from the ER in only 2 hours with just cuts and bruises and a sore back.
Thank god my son wasn't with her at the time. He would have been ejected and killed no doubt.

My last girlfriend was a horrible driver. She was just absent minded, short, bad eyesight, and delicate (ie: weak)... She still didn't like to be told she was a bad driver -- no matter how many times she heard it from different people...
My solution? I pretty much told her anyway she sucked because she didn't have much driving experience. Can't argue with the truth... So that's why you have to listen to driving criticism so you can learn from someone that has already made the mistakes that you have made. When I would drive with her I'd be telling her all the decisions that I was making that most people would never verbalize (to prove my point) -- when you really start to think about your driving decisions it's amazing how much information you can give to an inexperienced driver... especially how to keep the odds in your favor with accidents before they happen and to keep other cars around you aware of your position on the road.
I've driven with plenty of people that just suck at driving -- especially when it comes to avoiding curbs. Certain people (especially women) just don't have good visualization skills and I think that's what you need to be aware of the invisible outer dimensions of your car...
