    RocHARD got NAILED!

    I drove my bike out to LA Saturday night for the big party. I came flying off an on ramp at about 120 MPH and BAM - California Highway Partol pulled me over. The officer says "You were doing speeds in excess of 90 MPH". I said "That's very nice of you officer".

    Shit happens. It was a fun ride. Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight!

                  How much was the ticket RocHard?

                  I got busted when I lived in Vancouver for doing 150 mph on my Ninja at 2 am. I blew past the cop and just kept going. Shitty thing was I was on reserve and needed gas. So I stopped a few miles up the road to fill up.

                  A few minutes later the cop comes blasting up the road...notices me stopped and pulls into the gas station. He starts asking me abou the bike..its my old race bike and I still had all my sponsor decals on it. He says he has always wanted one but his wife won't let him get a bike. I could tell he wanted to ride it so I asked him if he wants to take it out for a spin.

                  He locks up his patrol car, hops on my bike and takes off. He comes back 5 minutes later and says "Get this thing away from me, I looked down at the spedo and I was doing 90 mph.
                  Told me to keep it in first gear and let me go without a ticket.
                  I was laughing all the way home.

I haven't had an accident since I was 16 or so, and haven't had a ticket in nearly six years - pretty good all things considered.

Difference is, a bike provides no protection. Going 120 mph in the middle of the night is plain stupid. Hit a pot hole, you will be spaghetti. Does Steve offer life insurance to all his employees to cover all their reckless behavior?

                                                                                                                              I know this is crazy but I feel more secure going 120 on a bike than I do in a car. If I hit something at 120 in a car there will be a lot of metal going into my body. I just got into a motorcycle accident going about 80 on a bike around a corner and I had my heel replaced with titanium. If I was in a car going that fast I would have been one pressed bitch..........

                                                                                                                                                                  but in a car it's no biggie, I was doing 120 in my old 70' monte carlo on Card Sound Road--south of Miami (not far from Largo) back in 92 and had a tire blow out....ocean on both sides of the road, but no problem....weight of the car took me straight until I was able to stop...

                                                                                                                                                                  was a bit of a RUSH for sure...




                                                                                                                                                                  but in hindsight, it was kinda insane...but at 20-something I considered it normal fun

                                                                                                                                                                          This wheelchair has given me a different outlook on things. No more airplanes, skydiving, or race cars. I'd rather enjoy my family, and maybe take up offroading, fishing and camping. I'm still going to ride bikes though, but you will never ever catch me on the fucking strip on a bike again.

I was in B.C. in 1984...driving to Alaska. We get pulled over by an RCMP. We asked what we had done wrong...he says...

                                                                                                                                                                                                      My buddy and I were actually smuggling handguns through to Alaska. We had them welded inside the bumper of the truck. See...the problem is...you can't have handguns in Canada. We had no intention of having handguns in Canada...we just wanted to get them to Alaska.
