I have to agree with the people that didn't find this funny.

I knew a girl in college that was beaten to the point of near death and raped..............a month later found out she was pregnant. She chose to get an abortion.

Lets also not forget that piece of shit that raped a woman, the woman had the baby...was enough of a mental case over it and 10 years later when the guy got out of prison-- took her to court for visitation rights and some judge on crack granted him supervised visitation.

I believe it's all a matter of special situations. Abortion should be an option for rape and incest victims, pregnancies that could result in death, when detected early on etc.

LadyM is right. In this day in age, its sheer laziness and stupidity to not prevent an unwanted pregnancy. I don't think abortion should be a casual substitute to "making a mistake". It's true, some people should not have children and raise them, when they are mentally, emotionally and financially unready. They should do the right thing, face the consequences of their careless actions, bring the pregnancy to full term and give that child up for adoption. So many infertile couples out there, that would do just about anything to adopt. People say "I could never give my baby away after seeing it" ...Yeah so killing it will weigh much less on your conscience. That makes a lot of sense!

There are countless birth control methods out there now, including abstinence. I'm not saying, consenting adults should not have sex... but come on. If you don't know sex could result in pregnancy, then you shouldn't do it. That's why there's laws in place for the age of consent, to make sure people fully understand the consequences. If you can make the decision to have sex, then you must be accountable for your actions. Not all children given up for adoption, are put into the system and passed around from foster home to another. You hear more about cases like this, because it's not as common for it to happen. You rarely hear about all the good adoption stories.

If you aren't ready for a child, never want them or simply don't plan on being with the person you are having sex with, long term... then simply prevent it. You wouldn't want to contract a long term STD, why would you want to contract a long term responsibility of another life? Sure accidents do happen, but it's both man and woman's job to take responsibility as far as birth control.

Pro-choice? The choice was already made when that grown woman CHOSE to have sex. She knew that having sex could make her pregnant, she chose to use birth control, not to use birth control or not to have sex period. The choice was already made. Part of the problem is the fact that kids these days don't THINK before they do. If more girls had to deal with reality checks, maybe the whole scenario COULD be prevented more often. Education is important, but the information is available to anyone who seeks it. Even some who don't. Just because a girl doesn't use a rubber doesn't mean she's uneducated. I know several girls who's had useless abortions and were FULLY aware of the implications of unprotected sex. They just let their pussies do the thinking and didn't think later. This is the same reason why more and more teenagers today are getting AIDS. Not because they DON'T know, but because they DON'T CARE! They aren't forced to deal with the consequences of their actions, because there ARE so many quick fixes available. It's a TOUGH call. But if by 18 they don't know a rubber is a rule, they honestly can't make excuses anymore. What happened to this girl is EXTREMELY unfortunate, I don't think she DESERVED to die, but maybe it will act as an eye-opener to OTHER girls to use their fucking heads for once.

Exactly.. Like I've said already in this thread, you ask ANY kid (and I can guarantee, even 12-14 year olds would answer the same almost unanimously) and they will tell you unprotected sex is bad.. They can even most likely rattle off different forms of contraception. But how many of them will USE it? More than less, we all hope.

uh.. condoms break... pills dont work at 100%...

oh btw, when the condom breaks, is the second day pill considered killing the baby... since the egg was fertilized...?

so what happens if you take the precautions yet they still fail, or lets say a rape victim becomes pregnant. is it supposed to be wrong for that person to have an abortion? u cant just say only those kinds of people can or the majority of women who want an abortion may lie and say they were raped, u cant have it both ways. abortion should always be allowed in our society under certain situtations, and someone shouldnt die based on a choice they made when they are 18 years old. god does not look down with hate and anger at these kind of people. he looks to them with forgiveness.
