The Forager is seeking galleries

I too am looking for galleries.

2) The pic's size should be larger than 50kb.
3) The thumbnail's size should be larger than 110x110 px.


Just a few comments about that you may want to take into consideration. As most webmasters know there will always be pics under 50k, hell, I have some galleries with closeup shots that are 30k on an 800x600 pic. No artifacts, no over compression, in fact, I had to set compression to 100 percent in photoshop for those types of pics. As a rule most webmasters aim for the 40-45k pic size range.

As for thumb size, big thumbs are great, however with different content producers the aspect ratios can be different. For example.. ftvgirl's content's dimensions ratio would be 100x160 which is a huge thumbs by any standards. That's 130 squared. I sure hope you dont have a script dropping galleries with thumbs under 110. Myself I would not have a problem as I always set thumbs to be at least 110 wide minimum or go with the 125x125 square thumb since I could care less about dialup surfers. If they cannot afford broadband they can't afford 40 dollar a month porn memberships

50 kb is not that much. However, if you aren't able to provide that large pictures, submit it though.
The script doesn't check the size of the thumbs/pictures (yet).

Keep submitting your galleries to Theforager and thanks for those galleries I've already reviewed !

Btw: Pichunter wants its submitters to submit galleries which link to >=40kb-pictures.

Actualy, they don't "require it" but moreso only count pics 40k and above as pics. I can provide pics at any size, a good number end up at the 60k range. What I was concerned about is that there might have been a script rejecting the gallery for the occasional closeup shot that has a way lower file size as some tgp's do.


Your plan with the avs frontend is a good idea bud, hope it works out for you. It's hard to get people to sign up for something like that when there are so many unprotected tgp's out there. Good luck to ya
