Actually your facts are probably fairly accurate. But for those of us who lived through the 80's AIDS epidemic...it's just not something to blow off. AIDS is a hideous, horrible disease that destroys the infected person in ways cancer and heart disease don't even think about. It took so many of my friends.
As recently as four years ago, I watched one of the smartest people I've ever known become reduced to a blathering idiot as AIDS took his mind away. It was simply horrible. I can't describe it and I don't want to. AIDS is pure evil. It is not to be taken lightly.

While we are really focused on the adult industry in this discussion (and rightfully so for the people involved), we cannot get too complacent just because it's "Not happening here, but in a continent away".
I say that because I think a lot of people think there is only ONE hiv virus..while in fact that are several..and several that are QUITE virulent (i.e. hits the immune system the hardest leading to a quicker death and the "cocktails" have a difficult time reigning in). In fact, the dominant strains in Africa are the virulent ones and the fear is that in China and India, it will explode there next.
