    Possibly the worst day of my life, thus far

    I had an IMPORTANT 9:30am exam today worth 36 credits. I revised for 3 months and thought I was cool with it. Needed only 40% to pass. This morning I got up at 6, revised for an hour, took a shower, drove to uni, read a bit more, and met up with a bunch of people. They didn't seem to know much... cool I thought, I've done plenty of work, this exam should be a breeze.

    WRONG. That was possibly the most difficult shit I've ever ever ever faced. A ton of stuff we've never seen nor studied before, it looks like 50% plus of the people in there have failed. Well, thanks to the lecturers for fucking our shit up and refusing to allow module retakes. Looks like a bunch of us will be out on our ass come September. They'd better believe we'll appeal about this idiot stunt.

    Please, someone post some stupid jpegs or something, cheer me the fuck up...

                              Go through the textbooks or required books for the course.
                              Can you find the subjects in there?
                              If so, then your appeals are useless.
                              Just cuz the professor says "study pages 208-236" doesn't mean that's the *only* thing in the book to read.

                              That being said, I hope it comes out better than you anticipate.

If you just take your degree to get by, just want to do it to have a "degree", then you probably will never end up using it.

The days of going for 4 years, whooping it up and doing mediocre general arts/business (just because you think they're easy) and getting a great job are over.

                                                                                                                                                                                          I saw a lot of my friends go to university just because they felt they had to. What a mistake, some flunked out and they ALL wasted their $60k+. One guy was REALLY good at electrician stuff, I wanted him to go get his journeyman's ticket, but he got pushed into an arts degree. Now owes huge student loans and is miserable.

                                                                                                                                                                                          I feel it's sad that a lot of people just flock to university because they feel have to. It has turned into a requirement instead of an place for the people who WANT to go on in school.
