I've been using wordpess.

Very easy to intall and run.

It seems to be very popular, so more plugins and themes are being created everyday. I think they do a pretty good job of updating and keeping fixes to the bugs available.

I have no idea how wordpress designs will work for SE traffic. I'm putting that to the test these days.

Why not Moveable Type? It seems to be the real leader.

there's one of these threads every day lately.

Remember back when the search function didn't work and everyone complained daily, and now we have one and no one uses it?

I actually thought the search wasn't working since it was timing out everytime I've tried it lately...

..though I just doubled checked and found lots of useful threads

google blogger is cool. it lets u set your blog up on your own server. fantastico, has many blog progs in it

Search function is pretty much useless for a thread like this... the blog script world is changing daily. Anything archived here is OLD news. Just a month or two ago everyone recommended Moveable Type, today it's Wordpress... tomorrow I bet something else. You'll get burned if you rely solely on the search for your decision.

Some people are too narrow minded to think that way. By posting something or asking a question relevant to the webmaster world it gets in the way of all the "would you hit it" and "britney" threads. Like you, I like to keep up to date with what the "newest" thing is and sometimes the search feature is absolutely useless for that...
