I don't know if I would be as strong as I am today if I didn't experience latent discrimination, as I struggled through my teens and 20's through the 1970's and 1980's.

Cops bashing mates into a pulp and not being accountable.

Bosses trumping up excuses to fire you if they found out you were gay.

Was the norm in the city I grew up in.

Its been a real struggle but hopefully its made me a better and deeper person.
