Wow, Avalon pier. I spent every summer in Kill Devil Hills, NC when I was growing up. Hadn't even thought about that pier in many years. The pier used to be a meeting spot, before we'd hit the parties.

GeX if you have some plywood you should put it by your window from the inside just to be safe. We had a tropical storm here a few years back and the winds weren't even at hurricane strength and a tree branch blew, broke off and went smack into this neighbors home office window.
