why do you care so much about contests?

Maybe if there was a million $ or so, but what a waste of time. Was trying to catch up on gfy from my fishing trip in cabo. Looks like I missed very little. Not to mention because the board is trying to get to 2 million posts, search function is off.

Its human nature to want to compete and win. Doesn't matter that its not for a lot of money. Its the thrill of the win.

Why do "whales" go to Vegas to gamble? Same thing. Like they need to win $100K when they make that a day?

Same reason little old ladies sit at a slot machine all day.

us who arent millionnaires love to try and be lucky for huge prizes like this. The winner is simply gonna be hooked-up in every part of the industry. a few grands worth of prizes.

better try then be like you and loose a chance. WTF you look like a guy whos gonna go to the paid show of the same group wich is playing for free the next day.

Hmm... you care about contests, too, Brad. I remember a few years ago you played for and won a prize on Dokk's radio show that I was tryin' to win. I thought, "What the heck does he need this for, he could buy like 5000 of them."

Point is, contests are fun even if you don't need the prize.

                Right, Brad?

What did I win on Dokks, I do not even recall! I do not doubt that I answered a question, but what I see going on here is people spending hours and hours wasting their time. Time is $.

It was content. $300 or so I think. It was at a time I was using free content just to earn grocery money and diaper money. LOL

But honestly, it really is fun to win prizes, even if you don't need them. And when you do, it's even better!

Really it is winning a lot of work and the servers etc are usually a month subscription etc but it is a heck of a lot of fun. The amount of work you could give one webmaster of it would last him a while i would love a bit of a boost. The prize pool is like 40k but its retail value could exceed expectations.
