If you say smart - How is bypassing a far greener pasture an educated move. Correct me if I am wrong, but in any business/and or web developer you're obligated to yourself to make as much money possible. Comes down to one thing, profit. Not pick and choose an industry you most prefer. Shit, I love television, but I am not dedicating my time to developing an entertainment site. Why? I think Brad is probably at least fairly smart. Smarter than he let's on anyway. I don't really know him, and I've never met him, so it's hard to really pin it down. So I apply everything I learned to what I do now. When you read an "Amputate Your Head" post, you're reading a radio show. And just like a radio show, some of it is based on real life, and some of it is utter nonsense..... if you can't tell the difference, then I'm doing it right.
2. Real World.
I am nothing like what you see here. Yes, the pictures are me. Yes, the pics of my house are mine. But who I am, is not "Amputate Your Head". I'm not a drunk. I don't seek attention. I don't have an attitude with the whole world. I'm not insane or on medication. I'm not a psycho. I don't party all night long. The county does not come and put me in a straitjacket every night so I won't hurt myself. I'm very shy, I don't talk much at all, and I leave the online half behind when I get up from the screen. I have a life. I go shopping at Home Depot like everyone else. I painted my bathroom last weekend. I am able to separate "show" from real world.
Summary: I'm misunderstood in both worlds. Those who know me personally, know what I mean. Those that don't.....

Advertising/marketing, as per the demand displayed of bids on Overture is hardly a relative comparison between both industries. Yes, 'hosting' in example, brings in an average of $1.00-$3.00 per click via Google adsense as a publisher. Nice figure right? Well, how many are actually targeted? How many prospective customers will click? Convert? We're talking about a select, niche group. A wealthy group of business men for the most part. Purchasing hosting for a website. How many people are webmasters/own businesses looking for hosting? We're talking about segregating the majority of people here. Contrary to what you would think, not many are webmasters. Now, what is the prerequisite for a porn purchaser? None. Any female, male, or pirate (hey lets not discriminate) can be interested and eligible to purchase porn. Thus with this demand, and such competitive saturation, the bids must reflect accordingly. If we had $3.00 bids keyword terms such as "sex", advertisers would flush out months of marketing revenue in a single day!Comment

I used to be a mainstreamer. It's a whole different game. Most mainstreamers don't even see adult. They're oblivious to it. There's big money in mainstream..... it's just a lot harder to nail down. CEO's can be a major pain in the ass. Mainstream & Adult are two completely different ballgames. What works in mainstream rarely translates to adult. Sure, the principles are the same, but very few are in tune enough to maintain principles and make the adjustment to their tactics.
