j/k here is original post, dont ask me why it didnt go through ...
hampster!
why the fuck wont he stop running on the wheel?!?
and if he runs so god damned much, why is he fat???
i bought him this big ass extension for his cage to turn it into a 4 story thing with lots of shit he can do ... figured it would tire him out or something.
but no, he climbs to the very top and stays on the wheel all fucking night, and ONLY at night!!

PS the wheel is on the very top, but not in the picture since cage was brand new when i took it ...HEY!!

Maybe because he was originally from Denver so he's used to exercising at higher altitudes or maybe because he thinks if he runs far enough the dang thing will take off.Originally posted by lil2rich4u2

My son had his hamster (similar looking to yours but going bald on his sides now because of age) in one of the larger cages, but found after time that he seemed much happier in a mid-sized or smaller cage.Comment

hampsters are nocturnal animals by nature. you can solve this problem by:
1. turning the wheel on it's side when you go to sleep
2. put the cage in a different room
3. buy a quieter wheel
or
4. stuffing the hampster up your ass till it suffocatesComment
