Q: Mailbox Is Locked: Whenever I try to run Pegasus Mail v4, it shows a warning saying something about my mailbox being locked. I am the only user with access to this mailbox, so I know it is not in use by another user. What should I do?
A: In order to prevent simultaneous access to a mailbox from multiple computers, which could cause folder corruption, Pegasus Mail creates a lock file when it starts. This file is deleted during a normal exit of Pegasus Mail. If Pegasus Mail is closed abnormally by power failure, server failure, network connection loss...whatever, the lock file is not deleted. If Pegasus Mail or Webmail sees this file when it starts, it complains, as you have noticed. For Pegasus Mail, simply click the Continue button to get past this warning dialog and it should continue normally. For Webmail, please call Academic Computing to have the file deleted.

Q: When I start Pegasus a hahahahahaha titled "Mailbox is Locked" appears. Clicking "continue" results in a "Program Error" hahahahahaha being generated which contains the following message "winpm-32.exe has generated errors and will be closed by hahahahahahas. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created".
A. Some of your Pegasus configuration files have become corrupted, call Academic Computing for a cheerful resolution.

Got this from an edu site.
