You may think I was wasting people?s time ? not at all! All I wanted was a satisfactory design. I tried one company, he promised me the best design on the net ? it was shit! I told him, they alter it, still no good! They argue to show you more. If you ask for a refund, you may as well eat shit! These pricks keep your money and your trust!!

In all, I have been ripped off for over $2000. So I just wanna get it out there to people looking for designers, avoid this shit-fake-rip off designers.

I've got a similar case myself a couple of months ago.. a client want's a design to be done.. I made a couple of studies and he just don't like not even one of the designs.. So, I made more designs.. Around 5 and no fuckin shit! HE EVEN CURSE my designs! telling me how bad it is! I just LOL about it when I remember that.. From that moment. I told him (still in a polite way) lolz that he find alternatives coz obviously his taste are different from my style... He didn't reply and just took fuckin off! Wow.. I bet his gay or somethin.. lolz

This is the fuckini sad reality of online bussiness practices. There is soo much you can persieve from a client when meeting them in person, and online, anyone could be anything. Un-fuckin-fortunetly some IDIOTS think they can scam the system and get away with it by bitching on a webmaster board to clear their guilty conscience.
Guys, stick to your rules, if someone doesnt have the money to pay your full deposit, fuck em, is not YOU who is loosing money, let them wait and get the FULL amount. Once they have that, get some shit signed and your ass is covered!

Before you deleted my post i was sticking up for 5 reputable companies i said 1 or 2 is believable but not 5 i asked also whether the work was not to the standards of the demos and i actually i asked to see a sample of the bad work i did ask if you had cried when your big brother got a bigger bike and whether you had ever caused a scene at mcdonalds for a burger. This post has backfired on you as if you showed the poor work that you couldnt possibly pay for you may have justified the post.

This is the guy who hits up designers gives them sob stories about getting ripped off, gets free work and then never talks to the designer again.

I did a free design for this guy to try and help him out and fix this mess. I turned over the design and never heard from him. Lucky it was just a screenshot and a mock up of what he already had since i was trying to fix this mess he is in.

Funny how they always knock designers but when they shit all over an honest one they dont care.

In all the years I've been doing work on the web I've never been scammed nor do I scam. I've had a few bs tricks tried to be pulled but the perps ended up in the shit anyhow.

Each client and job is different. Sometimes things happen like someone gets sick or mechanical failures, software failures, storms etc.

You have patience and keep your word the best you can. Always give the client that extra goodie like an extra t-shirt design and if they don't know how to market in an area you can offer that as well.

In all these years I've only had one bs routine pulled and it was from a dude who got my info from this very board. He tried an old time trick and is sorry for it. We caught him in mid bs and that's that.

I don't demand loot up front. Clients offer it. Don't argue with the client. They'll know what they want when they see it. Some are more literate than others and you have to know your ground and coach them along.

You do sketches. If they don't like them, say goodbye. If they offer their viewpoint evaluate it and if it's not graphically logical explain it best you can. If they don't get it, excuse yourself and roll on.

Many times I work in trade. That's VERY important. Some guys have services, goods, advice and I'll do some work in swap.

Sometimes I just find a site I like and offer to do some toons just cause the site is cool! I remember once I ran across Horny Hank's website and he has a superhero logo. I got in contact with him and offered to do some toons for a link exchange. The stuff looked great, he ran it for awhile but we lost contact and I figure it's cause he's very busy but he kept his word. That's when things are fun.

Like with traffic I do toons/projects in exchange. You'ld be suprised the good stuff you can break off.

So when you get the conflicts noted in this thread it's disturbing.

If you get clients that are patient and fun, that makes work fun. If you get services that are fun that makes work fun.

Goes both ways. Don't bang your head against the wall. You either work well together or just split.
