    Mozillla FIREBIRD rocks my world!

    BUT......

Does anyone know how to make this textarea for typing messages on GFY bigger?

It's the only annoying flaw/glitch I've seen in how it displays HTML vs IE.

I suppose it would have to be fixed by VBulletin.

I didn't like Firebird, and Opera doesn't work right with a few websites w/cookies?

Opera is closed source like IE.

Mozilla (and Mozilla Firebird) is open source and their source code is auditable.

If a critical problem was discovered with Mozilla it would probably be fixed within hours.

There are nightly builds of Mozilla available (in addition to the latest 'stable' releases)

People are still waiting on a proper fix for http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec...n/MS03-032.asp

The vulnerability & exploit for IE that is currently in the wild and allows the attacker to take over your computer as easily as linking you to a web page (or sending you an HTML email -- and no, it's not an attachment you would have to open, if you see the HTML, you're F'd)

For those that are still running microsoft IE... go to START | RUN | REGEDIT

          Then EDIT | FIND

          Then type application/hta

When you find that key... change it to application/htaelwk34rwe6lrkhwoiyuwofyw

(add a bunch of random alphanumeric jubberish at the end)

That will protect you from MS03-032 attacks anyway.... then there are only 30 others to worry about

Anyway that key should be under

          HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\MIME\DAtabase\ Content Type\application/hta

          Microsofts "fix" is bunk.

Yeah... um... GFY should alter it's format that suits the general populus so that you can have a larger message box.

                    Interesting....

But I think when I can afford to drop $10k on a new computing platform, I'll just switch

FreeBSD + Native Adobe & Macromedia products is so tempting
