At least 3 workouts per week. 4 or 5 is better. At least 1 hour per session. Me I'm going 4 times and 2 hours and a half each session.

http://www.bodybuilding.com best site to find a good program at the beginning for you ..

http://www.elitefitness.com too you can ask there on the forum for questions.

But hey remember half of the people who starts training give up in the first 3 months so you must have a solid motivation when you start that is the perfect key.

And dude forget the pills when you start you gotta earn some experience first then after you go with that. The thing you could take first is supplements of proteins like proteins bars (like NitroTech bars) after you go with Creatine that works the best.

And It's better when you only take different parts per workout.

Example one day you do : Biceps , Triceps , Pectorals , Abs

the other day you go for : Legs ( including Quadriceps , Calves , Hamstrings) , Back , Shoulders) + abs

You do this 4 times a week at least 2 hours each session and you eat well. Results within 2 months.

Read this about creatine it should helps :

Good advice actually... Though I would say 2 hours + per session will only burn you out, especially if you are just getting started.

If you are looking to burn fat off make sure you do BOTH weight training (particularly your large muscles like your legs - squats etc) AND cardio workout - (for example 45 minutes on the treadmill or equivalent).

If you are consistent like that 3-4 days a week, one body part per workout (e.g. chest/arms, shoulders/back, legs) and keep up the cardio you will see results really quickly.

Another really important thing to remember is nutrition. You have to fuel you body to gain muscle, but watch out for the carbohydrates. Energy bars and shakes can just fill up all the calories you are burning off. I used to love to gobble down rice and potatos and bread - all low/no fat foods, but the carbs convert right into storage - in other words: FAT.

After you are feeling comfortable and making gains in the weight you can do, then start looking into creatine and protein supplements. You'll see a big boost.
                      Good luck~!

Yeah, the body for life guys and the 12 Week Body Transformation Challenge that EAS does is fucking amazing. Granted they use MASSIVE creatine + thermogenic + protein supplementation + severe diets and they workout constantly, but they get insane results and fast...

                                Check out: http://bodyforlife.com/

the before-after pictures are nuts. I wouldn't start a program like that until I was settled into a solid routine in the gym first.

Subscribe to a magazine like http://www.mensfitness.com or something similar.

                                    Here's why:

                                    * It contains tons of stuff about working out, food, etc.
                                    * It comes every month and reminds you of what you should be doing. Therefore a subscription is better that buying it at the news stand (cheaper too).

go to a good gym and find a good personal trainer or ask around and find someone who will teach u how to do the exercises properly, it's not just about how long u do them, it's also the way u breathe, eat, cardio workouts, and when u eat...my b/f is a trainer and it's all about how u do the exercises

Find a woman who like you for you and not your looks. She won't be a knock out, but you won't have to worry about anyone stealing the ugly bitch away from you. That's not really true, I used to have an eating problem resulting from my parents divorce but now I have washboard abs and weigh less than I did in 8th grade.

                                                                  Body for Life..

I was skeptical at first, basically my goal is "if it's seen on tv, it's crap" .. but my (ex)girlfriend got me onto it, her father had lost 65lbs of fat and gained 30lbs of muscle in 3 months..

I've been on it 3 weeks, i'm up 2lb of muscle, down 9lbs of fat.

Basically I eat 6 meals a day, each meal has a protein portion, a carb portion, and a veggie portion. Their rule of thumb is "each portion should be the size of your fist"..

I wake up every morning, and exercise.. 3x a week I lift weights off the crappy little home gym I bought off of craigslist, 3x a day I use the health rider for 20 really hard minutes.. it's all about what they call "high point exercise" .. but when I talk to a friend of mine, who used to be a fitness geek, he says "ahh .. you mean you're exercising to failure".. basically you exercise in increasing levels to the point that you can't do anymore, in a short period of time.. then you just follow your meal plan for the day, and get at least 8 hours of sleep so the body can repair it's torn muscle fibers and build new muscle fiber..

It's a lot of hardwork, not like computers.. each day I want to eat how I used to, but then I notice the difference compared to the picture I took the first day.. and notice the fact that my new jeans don't fit just right anymore ..
