yeah, now we just have to decide on whether to spend $90k or $10k . . . . financial aid papers should arrive any day now

Columbia is one of the top 10 schools in her field, UCLA probably in the top 20 . . .. a pretty huge cost difference though . .

This is when it starts. My daughter was able to take college courses during the summer session while she was still in high school. By the time she graduated high school she had enough college credits to enter UC Davis as a sophomore, and at a fraction of the cost.

3 years later she had graduated UC Davis, and now has her choice of schools to go to for grad school. So it is never too soon, you should talk to her school about these programs. It is well worth it.

When she graduated 8th grade, and went to college in the summer she was really surprised at how easy it was compared to how hard she thought it would be.
