    If GOOGLE's stock went public

would you buy a piece of their stock?

(the poll on cnbc.com says 56% would)

The entire world would buy it. Its a blockbuster waiting to explode. And IMHO, the higher their stock goes, the lower the quality of the SE will be. I say let Brin and Page be the CEO's again.

I was watching that on the news last night..their stock would be estimated at something crazy in the billions(cant remember exactly)..the reason they dont want to go to wall street yet is because they dont want their "playful" work place to turn fumpy and corporate. everyone that has stock now would be able to retire nicely though.. tempting. I would buy stock.

Yahoo wants to buy stock from them..lol

When it's a big hype and alot average people buying at the start the stock will go through the roof and then dive fast leaving many people clueless and angry at media. Seen it before bound to happen again.

Then all the investors will get angry with google and tell them
how to run their site... They'll constantly be explaining why
advertising revenue is in the toilet.... Watch them abandon their
ethic of keeping the site simple, fast and start building shopping
and portal garbage. Someone else will capitalise on all this... and
google will be as good as dead.

I still use google but this is just as good if not better for many
searches. I really hope google doesn't IPO, I like their site too
much and if it goes to shit......

When it first goes public its gunna be hard for the smaller investors to grab it up. Most brokers will be holding shares for "specical" clients... That is until half way through the day...
