I listened to Sounding Point last night while in the office. They had my bro Colin on, along with Ludedude, talking about this TGP2. I think it is a great idea - BUT - I can't see it working out. Main concern is traffic. Nobody is going to make galleries to get 25 hits/day. People bitch on boards when a "big" TGP "only" sends 500 hits/day to a gallery link. So right there, TGP2 link sites have to come up with hits to trade/send out. Where can they get the traffic? By trading with regular, TGP sites? Well, wouldn't that corrupt the surfers, send them off to the "real" TGP - giving that site yet more traffic, and bookmarkers, grateful for coming across a link list of complete gallery pages. Many of which contain hardcore images?
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for TGP2. If submitters make more sales, and burn less gigs, that's awesome. It will cut way down on gallery cheating, and force surfers to PAY FOR THE GOOD STUFF. I'm all for everyone making more profit. I just don't see the bigger sites changing over.
I remember when COPA was coming to put us all out of business. US webmasters were getting prepared to put everything behind "free" AVS doors, and non-US webmasters were getting ready to cash in by supplying copious amounts of free hardcore. I see TGP2 running into the same problem.
