I was at the Egg Platter having breakfast and there was a table of 4 soldiers sitting at the next booth. Two were American and two were British (I could tell by their uniforms and accents). We shared the same waitress so I asked her to bring me their check. I wrote on the check,
"You've taken care of me, so I'm taking care of you. A warm hearted thanks to you all." and I paid their bill.
The part that made me feel good was when they went to leave they each individually stopped at my table, shook my hand and then gave me a firm salute! It was an awesome feeling! I had a brief chat with them all and they were a joint Marine detachment that just got back from Iraq. They were seriously pissed that they weren't there right now to help their comrades.
Karma feels so good!
