Did you happen to salvage the material for those gold curtains from a local high school rendition of "The King And I"? Yul Brynner is looking for his robe.
curious about your tv Brad- is it internal or external projection? I was looking at a lot of the extrenal projection ones and I wasn't impressed with them. any light in the room really effected the picture. do you have that problem? it's whY i went with the tiny little 65"
nice place, I'm not keen on dark wood though. to each their own. It makes one feel like it's spooky and old money.
backyard looks great

It is a sony projector, mounted on the ceiling. Was top of line 2 years ago, sure they are a lot cheaper now.
I have a 25 foot, velvet curtain that is controlled by remote to close off the room from the downstairs. It is a converted playroom so I had to work with the house. The picture is great, in the dark. But dark is essential for a projector. My only complaint is that it is upstairs, and we spend 90% of our time in the living room.

that's what i thought. i looked at a lot of them, I wanted a 100" screen myself but i just wasn't impressed. I'm surprised you didn't go for the 72" toshiba. they wouldn't bring it into manitoba cause it wouldn't fit into the store's delivery truck, so I had to settle for the 65" but the nice thing is with rear projection it's a great picture even in reasonable daylight.

You guys made me break out the 16' ladder! Well 9/11 is over so its ok. I took down the gold leaf window scarves to see how it would look without them. I think I like it better this way. Thanks GMAN for making me realize how fucking cheap looking they were. haha

no pictures yet, but i'm currently building a vacation home just outside of Banff, in an area called Three Sisters (comes from the mountain range we're building in). Built right on the mountain, with a private golf course a short (3 min) walk away...

what happened with the winterized pool idea?

decided to build a full on indoor pool instead. going to be in a separate building from the main house... actually, our hand was forced, because the parks do not allow fences in the backyard, yet to build an out door pool, a fence is required.
large out door hot tub and showers will be the segway from home to pool house.
Sleazy, You have more furniture in one of your rooms than I saw in Brads entire house. Bad ass house he has though. I love high ceilings. That staircase is totally Tony Montana.

nice. smart to have a seperate building for the pool, i think you'll be happier with a building for it. every indoor one I know smells of chlorine do you don't want that in your house.
Hope construction goes well.

lol, i doubt it.
I have a small house, only 2300 sq feet. I wish I had high ceilings though. I won't sell this place, lots of family history here.
we're adding another 1000 sq feet in the spring or summer. I want a bigger office with a view of the river in my back yard and I don't have a garage yet.
I want to attach an indoor pool but my wife doesn't want it..

Well it takes alot more thought to furnish and decorate a smaller place than a larger one. I find it alot of fun "squeezing" everything into a tiny place. It's a real challenge. My place is only 750 sq. ft. so I cant buy all the things I really would like to have.
BTW
JACK RITTER is dead. The guy from Three's Company.

yeah for sure about the smell. as well as all the moisture issues, it's the only way to go for an indoor... i hope the construction goes well too
Yeah we are waiting to see Brads master bedroom! I love the custom paint on all his walls. They should have a Cribs show for guys in the porn bus. That would be cool. I only have a small place but my goal is to have a place like Sleazy and Brad someday.
There is a place up here in Tarpon Springs that sells this type of furniture from Indonesia. You should come up and by the matching desk with 4 giant elephants as the legs.

I have one similar to his, except 133" .. I had to do the same thing -- get a big curtain that goes across all the windows/wall when I press a button. But it is cool feeling like you're in a theatre. It was actually less expensive than a smaller plasma though..
