Arnold is not a politician.

Aside from Coleman and Flynt he's the least qualified candidate...yet he's running neck & neck for the seat. Why? Because he has name recognition, why else would somebody with no real political history get the VAST majority of the media coverage?

He's doing more of a disservice to California by running, he's become a distraction.. the media spends more time talking about Arnolds career than they do the issues. And speaking of the issues, what's his plan for reducing the deficit? ... He doesn't know, he says "once I'm in office, I'll start to figure it out".

Sorry Ahhhnold, it doesn't work that way.

Are the details of Arnolds, already well known, career more important than our $38,000,000,000.00 deficit?

arnold has been active in politics for years... i remember when he came to my school back in 91 after appointed him Chairman of the President's National Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. not a super political role but still he has been dealing with govt. officials for some time now. him coming to my school alone and spouting his famous one liners was cool and shows he is out to do something for the kids and community but i still think i'll vote for flynt!

Ive learned with my stay on this board to not try and educate the kids here.

Let them watch TV and form their opinions

I'm sick of "career politicions". Our goverment was founded with the intent that people would be voted in from their communities, serve, then go back to their lives. Why do you always want a "politicion" with the same old politcal and corporate networks doing the same old stuff?

We NEED people from out side the established system to shake things up once in a while. What? Were things going SO GREAT with the people that are in power now, that you are afraid of taking a chance. Hell, just vote for Bustmonte and you can have a few more years of the same old shit again.

Yea I think it's more a publcity thing gone wrong, but gone right.

arnold has done alot for schools and children. and he has always been about 'the people'. hes never gotten in trouble for doing anything anti-government or anti-citizen. i also think he has better intentions than anyone else who is running. he cant fix all of the states problems, hes gonna probably fuck up, but everyone we have ever had in office until now has fucked something up pretty badly for us.but it really is time for a new outlook on the whole issue, a non-political outlook. his views are not warped like the rest of the politicians, he probably wont take bribes and other stupid shit like that. he has enough money of his own allready...

wasnt sonny bono some type of politition after his "awsome" career with cher? why isnt anyone bringing that up?

Hmmm.. I haven't followed it much, and I don't know much about Arnold other than he's a big guy, screwed a lot of chicks, had some orgies, and I like most of his movies.

I'm sure people will vote for him because of his popularity. Is that a problem? I don't think so. When you're a politician sure there's a lot on your plate and even though you're the one the public is focusing on, you'll have advisors and all that jazz.

I recommend writing in the Yo Adrian! But that would be tough going against Larry Flynt.

So you're confident then that a person with very little "real" political experience can effectively manage a state budget larger than most countries?

Yeah...

Kinda like me running some pretty important & expensive projects and never graduating college, but also rasing the owners of the projects bottom line by 40-50%+ - because I have unique IDEAS and the ability to find the right people to DEVELOP the parts that I don`t develop.

We don`t need someone with experience in politics, [gray davis has nothing but experience] we need someone that has IDEAS that have NOT been used, and a reasonable track record in their own businesses - and we need someone that has the common sense & ability to hire a great administration to ALL input their ideas & experience into the problem.

Arnold came here with nothing [same thing alot of residents have] and is now worth nearly $1 billion, that is NOT an accident, that is doing good things with the bits he has had, he has ambition & it looks like he will apply that ambition to straightening out the state.

I am not positive... but it seems like everyone that bitches about stupid little details without an open mind, just want to bitch.

I am NOT saying that Arnold is the guy, simply saying that we don`t have many options, and that the guys that HAVE had a chance -

SUCKED,

but that also shows that liberal ideas are a waste of money & unnecessary - we are all here to take care of ourselves, the state & national governments are here to PROTECT us as citizens, domestically and abroad - not to fund bullshit welfare programs for idiots that cannot run their own lives.
