    how to do retail visa?

Wife just bought an established retail business, whats the easiest way to take credit cards point of sale?

Ideally all I want is a card swipe. It does have a cable Internet connection though, so it might be slick to be hooked up to a pc so we don't have to wait for the call to go through every time.

Where to start? Are there third party processors for retail stores, or do I get a merchant account and who sells the pos devices?

Damn, why does everybody trash card service international???

First, I was going to use them through netbilling for a pay site, and just now when I was looking around for my wife's retail (non-adult) store, it looks like they have some pretty good solutions.

wtf is wrong with them? Karen at netbilling keeps saying they are great.

Anyway, any good alternatives for fast retail store setup?

Ok, where is the best place to get a brick and mortar non-adult merchant account; do I just call my bank or where is the best place to start?

            Saint,

I work with HR merchant accounts, and traditional accounts ( non-adult retail).
I can go over the different swipe rates, transactions and all information and your questions if you want to call or email me.

We also have a retail Store.

We use EFS for Visa. The best thing is to go to the next door retailer, ask him who he uses and ask him for his sales reps name and number. Lots of times you get a discount.

You can buy a credit card mashine and printer on Ebay for about 150 bucks or less

Have fun - Retail is a bitch!

Thanks for the replies. I already went with a First Data reseller.

Absolutely fucking amazing how eager they are to deal with brick and mortar, I got a 1.59% rate, 25 cents per transaction. Probably not the cheapest deal either.

And a $25,000 monthly credit line with a one page application and a cancelled check, amazing, maybe I will do more non-adult.

                    Saint,

Cardservcice is great as long as you keep your chargebacks down. We have hundreds of merchants that we have established accounts through there. However, for you retail store, we have an even better swipe bank and we can set you up with the terminal too. Of course, the price will be right.

Fell free to call me at the sales office after 10am PST today to discuss. We will get you all setup. 661-252-2456 x1002

                    Thanks, Mitch

Because they suck. You'll do better when you leave them.
