    The Stupid Question List

    I've asked some doozies myself from time to time, so this is not a high-and-mighty statement, but I like to think I have a stable base of knowledge to use as a reference point when something simple is puzzling me, can take a basic response and apply it to the fundamentals I have already obtained through years of hard work & determination, and arrive at a viable solution with which to move forward and create new plans of business attack.

    But OMFG. The questions and topics I've seen this week are stupifying.

    "How do I make a website?"

    "How do I get traffic?"

    "How do I use ICQ?"

    "What's bandwidth?"

    "Can I use your content?"

    "You guys that are making good money, can you tell me how you make your sites and what sponsors you use?"

    "Can I just use YOUR site?"

    "Why doesn't anybody click on MY sponsors?"

    "Why can't I have a thousand banners on my gallerys?"

    "How come you guys don't like me?"

    "Where should I post to make good money?"

    "Why don't you believe I have widespread unlimited free bandwidth with no strings and that I'm not a dumb ass?"

    I'm sure I've missed a few so feel free to add to this list....

      I'm willing to help a newborn webmaster out by pointing him (or her ) in the right direction but i'm not going to reveal the secrets i found out myself by putting in very, very, very long nights of work.

      The biggest secrets (or fact if you like) maybe is ... There is no easy money in this business

          Well I for one really dont pay bandwidth on my 3 sites...I pay a set fee on each of my 3 sites. But, If I am going to use a super amount of bandwidth say for movie gallery posts I set up a separate area for them and they can only be accessed by a certain number of people at one time. And I only learned this after not doing it this way-and nobody could access my sites cause there was so much traffic to it.
          But, yes I learned as I went along- experimenting, looking at how others did things, even taught myself html through a website and I'm still learning and I started my first paysite almost 3 years ago. Gosh, there is so much I dont know yet. And I'm afraid to ask here cause I dont want to sound stupid... LOL

                                                      I personally think it's a shame that you are afraid to ask questions because you think you may sound stupid...

                                                      After all the whole point of this board and most other boards are to share information and rap with people that do what you do.

                                                      There's a few folks on this board that take this board a little to seriously and assume people that have 1 or 2 posts are newbie idiots. Those are the people that wipe boards like this out and eventually those people will be left to share their own comments and thoughts with themselves.

                                                      It's a Community and no questions should be considered "Stupid"

                                                                                                                                                          There is a place for them. There's gobs of beginner boards that can help, some within this site. ("Webmaster Q&A") There's plenty of help available to new people, and I don't mind at all helping out with what I can to solve problems... (God knows I've had help from some of the best in the biz.)...

                                                                                                                                                              There is a reason why there are 6 different forums on this board. Post your question in the appropriate one. Dont ask for trades or galleries in this forum, do it in the Traffic Trades/Gallery Requests forum. Is that so tough? And the one called Webmaster Q & Fuckin' A, I will give you 1 guess what should be posted there.
