I have a little dilemma !?!

I will soon launch a new site for the US market and have a little dilemma.

The site will be like a tgp, but a little bit more advanced 2 links automatically added every 2 hour etc ? I have been working on it for quite some time now, so the launch is important to me J

My dilemma is what domain name to use for this project, the past year I have mostly worked on the home market (Sweden) were .NU is a popular TLD. But I guess using a .NU domain wont work that well on the US market or ????

So the Q is
www.girls.nu vs. www.my6.com ??

Would you trade traffic with a .NU domain, do you think the US visitor would follow a link to a .NU domain name or would they think is just some hulahula shit site not worth a visit.

Please help me on this, thanks

My opinion is that .nu is not a .com and most people in North America wont know what .nu is. You will get people that wont remember .nu as they would remember .com name.

You have 2 excellent names there, girls.nu and my6.com is very short and easy to remember, even though girls.nu is more oritented to what your selling, I would go with the .com name.

I am sure everyone would trade with your domain it does not have anything to do with that, its the fact that you want people to remember your domain and come back to .com names.

That being said, why dont you use Platinum Bucks sites as your sponsor for your site. Conversions 1:50+ on high quality traffic.

Don't agree, sex-x-x6-6-6xxxfreesex-x-x.com may be avalibe but no good one's, and in my world a max 6 letter name is a good one, users must be able to type the name or at least remember it, the shorter the better!

AltaVista didn't get get av.com for free i guess SiliconValley payed a few bucks for sv.com, this was done just to get ppl to type the url and not to check all there SE bookmarks, and this domains r just used to redirect to the main url.

I say go with which ever one you like best.

IMO Visitors to freesites mostly come from http links or bookmarks. As for a type in...Girls.nu seems pretty easy as does my6.com

My preference would be my6.com just because it's a .com

i'd pick my6.com... .com looks more professional if the site is internationally orientated...

if you build a nice image around the my6 thing people will definately remember it very easily... make sure you have a superb logo and according design/colors... nice slogan will complete the picture...

I have to disagree with the 6 letter max for domain names. That might be the case if it is one word, but there are lots of good two word 10 or less letter domains. As long as the person can remember it, then its a good domain. Domains such as SweetTeen.com, AsianDelight.com, those are rather long, but because each word is short, when put together they are easy to remember.
