From where I live to california its about 3800 miles.. and usually takes people between 10-14 days, depending how long you drive for and how often you rest.. i would say a good week for yours..
Ask MapQuest.com how many hours it thinks the drive will take, then work out how many hours you want to drive per day. That will be a pretty good estimate. Mostly, it depends on how insane you want to be with the amount of time you spend awake and driving.
Hey Quiet you still moving to my part of the world, just to let you know top of KHM had fresh snow this morning.
The amount of time it will take you is relative to road conditions and if you are on single lane or double highway, weekend or weekday, daytime or night time. I drove from Golden to Mayo Yukon, 2678 km's in 28 hours only stopping to gas up and 1, 2 hour rest.
Take care and hit me on email if you still got it.
i want to enjoy the drive, and check things out (I've never been in Sask or Manitoba. I've been to Ontario many times, but only the Toronto area.
i don't mind driving around 700 KM/day, but that's still 5.5 days.
yeah, i'll be driving alone. i have a friend who wants to come along, but honestly, i'd rather do it alone, enjoy the car, and driving across most of Canada.

i'm thinking about 6 or 7 days...
Depends on if you stop or not, but I'd say 3-4 days.. We've driven across Canada (Calgary to Toronto at least) at least 8 times, and it took anywhere from 2 days (without kids in the car) to 4 days (with kids in the car). Depends on how fast you wanna drive.. if you're heading out this way though, be careful because it's almost hunting season, and the OPP will be going into overtime. That and there will be LOTS of animals on the roads, especially come Manitoba and Ontario. Enjoy the drive though!

I've done it in 24 1/2 hours but I wasn't interested in stopping more then to get fuel and the speedo didn't drop below 180 KM/h except where I got stuck going through cities...

6 or 7 if you want to enjoy it. i usually just get it over with. when i was in europe a few months ago we drove from london to milano in less than a day and it wasnt all that bad.
Saskatchewan is the FUCKING WORST! It is SO FLAT AND BORING!!! makes you want to slit your own throat about 15 clicks in. One time when we were driving through there was this thick fog and you couldn't seemore than 2 feet in front of the car.. we were SO HAPPY! It was the best drive through Sask. that we'd ever made. Oh, and if you're taking the Porsche, watch out man, Saskatchewan roads are KILLER on low-slung vehicles. Many potholes that would eat your car. Take it a bit slower through there.
