That game was so ahead of it's time it was crazy. A fully 3D world where you could look up and down and fly and swim, etc. all before Doom was ever released. I remember playing it on a 386.

the sad thing is mentally I don't think "syndicate" is that old - I can remember one of my mates first showing me it and it only seems like a few years ago.. not like 8 or whatever - fuck. distinct from the halycon gaming days of my 8bit youth.

heh, I look on thoose as Amiga games =). Amiga500 was kicking butt with its elite GFX chips while PCs had slowass EGA ;]. Actually, first started playing Pirates on my C64, damn that game was fun.
