Unique Opportunity
Job seekers scanning the newspaper in Serbia for potential opportunities found something a bit more interesting than ?receptionist wanted? and ?telemarketers needed? recently. The Serbian secret service advertised in the papers this month as it looks for a new crop of spies. The BIA apparently feels that it?s time to attract some new blood.
?This job opening shows the need for the cleansing of the secret police, which has been defined by mystery and negative selection for decades,? said political analyst Tomislav Kresovic. ?This is just the beginning of modernization and reform of the service which will take three to five years.?
The agency is seeking computer savvy applicants, no older than 27. The BIA wants those who speak a foreign language and have no criminal record.
It took only 24 hours for the first 160 responses to come flooding in. It sounds like the desire to be the next James Bond is alive and well.
