i just got an email from ebay - seems the high bidder (used the name "webmaster_nebc" on ebay) retracted their bid.
I suppose there's many possible reasons to retract one's bid. I do know that ebay frowns on it though and if one makes a habbit of it they can loose their ebay account for life.
I'm happy in a way it happened, I'd rather have real bids. So if it was a joke or if necoeds just decided that they didn't really have the money either way I'm happy they didn't end up stiffing a worthy charity and stepped out now to save face.

I didn't jam out... I retracted my bid cuz i meant to bid $2,200 but instead i bid $3,200... even though only $2232 showed up as the winning bid (cuz that's as high as the last guy bid up to)
And now, it won't let me re-bid because it hasn't been 12 hours since i retracted... Rest assured i will be bidding my 2,200 bid as soon as it lets me.... 3,200 is just too much for me though....
