A New York prisoner is suing the city for $5 million for injuries suffered while he was playing basketball in jail.
Qiydaar Reddick, 21, says he hurt his knee while playing basketball at the Brooklyn House of Detention.
Reddick, who was jailed on a robbery charge, claims he was "lawfully playing basketball on the court" when he tripped on some loose bricks.
The New York Post says his lawyer, Paul Campson, has filed the complaint at Brooklyn Supreme Court.
"He was running and bricks popped up and he wiped out," said Campson, who added that Reddick may need surgery.
