What STOPS traffic buildup on a site ?

Why is it that you build a site and traffic starts to build up over a few months, you start to get a 100 se hits a day but there come a point when your site stops growing?

What the fuck causes it to stop growing, especially when you have fresh se traffic every day ???? it should just keep growing

I've tried to make BIG sites but they all grow to a certain size then stop so I tend to make lots of small sites and pages that have 2k to 3k per day (it works but I'd rather have a BIG site)

Even tried merging multiple sites and pages together by redirecting the traffic to a single page but they soon die.

To build traffic you need content. You can't submit index.html to google and expect in three months to have 10k se hits a day. My best tip would be to keep on adding pages and content, maybe even a couple marketing ploys. Pay attention to your server logs see what keywords are getting hit make some pages.... there's a thousand more techniques, but building a page a day for each site works for me. (to keep se traffic up anyway )

Ok so the "Plateau Syndrome" isn't just an eye disease

but wtf has that got to do with my sites growth (or lack of)
I'm not giving up I can put daily effort into a project or leave it to rot and the outcome is more or less the same, the site will reach a certain level of traffic and refuse to grow.

Even tried trading my bookmarker traffic with TGP sitea thinking mine is way better so I will pick up more bookmarkers ..... WRONG for some reason these halfwits love being pelted around TGP's and don't bookmark the good sites.

A TGP is just a site with links on it. Most new sites now, are built with a hot script, trades and already available/purchased traffic. Doesnt mean they are any good, but the counter clicks and thats what seems to matter.

I think if you can develop a site of 80 to 100K, with no skim and reasonable quality, you should make a decent profit.

Very few wemasters that I know, have been able to duplicate their original success in opening another site/s. Me included.

I pretty much do that already but I want ONE BIG MOTHERFUCKING SITE

Then I can grow hundreds of smaller sites from it.

I don't want quantity I want a nice BIG site.

Maybe I should have a go at using a script to trade traffic, I normally make sites to attract bookmarkers and can get them to about 15 to 20k and then I try to use the traffic to trade with TGP but it seems to kill my sites instead of making them grow.

prolly all the TGP's are sending me Chinese hitbot traffic

I "think" I've already tried that (including redirecting traffic from grown sites but I have come to the conclusion that for whatever reason they bookmarked the original page if you send them "anywhere" else they will pack their bags and move on.

Maybe I could try using traffic from dozens of small 2k sites and send all the trade traffic to a completely new page and try grow it like that?
