Ok... let's be a hero and go fuckin around with an explosive device you know nothing about. That's the way to save his life. They don't mess with explosives, because cops aren't trained to disarm them. If they cut it off, they could have killed HIM and themselves. It just doesn't make sense. The correct thing to do was to call the bombsquad like they did. Only thing is that they didn't get there in time.
But they didn't know the bomb was definitely going to go off when it did. All they knew was if they attempted to take it off him, it would have potentially killed him AND the cop doing it. So then what would you complain about... that the cops should have called the bomb squad but instead acted hastily?
