HIV Crisis in LA

I keep Hearing about "HIV crisis in LA". The crisis is every where. People have been starting to ignore HIV and it's existence for some time now, pushing it to the back of their minds because its not mentioned in the mainstream press as much as it used to be.

It is now to the forefront in everyones minds again in or out of the biz. Comparitively there are less people infected in our business than in the general population. But because we are "taboo" to the mainstream, we now look dirty. We are the target for gossip.

Those who hate us WANT to see something like this happen. What they don't realize is it is happening in the general public every single day, not just to a particular category of people.

Everyone in or out of the business should take care to look after themselves, protect themselves and care about their bodies. Everyone should also be responsible, if they have a disease, any disease they should be honest with themselves and deal with the problem before infecting another.

The crisis is NOt just in LA, its every time you have sex with someone unprotected, no matter who you are or what you do or where you are. It's a chance we are all taking.

Even the husband or housewife who thinks their partner is monogamous is at risk, you cannot monitor anyone 24/7, things happen, and it can happen to any one of us. Me, you anyone.

I don't know what anyone can really do, except try to do the best you can do at taking care of your most important asset.....YOU!
