You are correct Tony. However, there are many surfers out there that klnow they can do what they want and charge it all back. You cannot return a porn mag to the newstand but you sure as hell can call up your card company and deny signing up for a site. It is well proven that exclusive content and honesty does help keep the chargebacks down though.

Well I am 98% exclusive we shoot all our own content. I think if third part processors made it painful to charge back, like putting them into collections. I will give you a example a guy joined our site for 3 months and canceled then rejoined 5 months later and charged back the month saying someone used his cc number without his knowledge. I run three paysites and we already tell our members exactly what is inside, how many movies, how many hours and we make sure the actual content is at least 10% more than we advertised.

As a result, the CB ratio is around zero percent. Has been for 2 years.

I am pretty sure CCBill blacklists surfers that chargeback, so you have some good protection there now that they are for all intents and purposes the only 3rd party biller left.

There are 2 kinds of chargebacks:

1. Fraud - dumb fucks only get to do it once, and can't go site hopping unless they pick sites with different CC billers.

2. Rage - a member is really pissed off, for example because his $2.99 trial just converted to $39.99. Sure, he might have signed up for that but he realizes you took advantage of him, so he is pissed.

The new 1% doesn't worry me in the slightest, because it will give sites like mine that use low key sales tactics an advantage.

But I doubt if Visa are interested in what's inside the site, so long as it's legal, they go by the number of clients who are disatisfied enough to CB.

Nah, the top offer was 70 grand, but the offer was payments spread out over a year. Not a lot of incentive to sell out that way.

By upping the affiliate program to 60% revshare, though, I am suddenly getting a *lot* of affiliate sales for the first time. Unfortunately a $24.95 sale only nets around $8.50 after the CCBill haircut and revshare though, ouch.

I think it can and should happen.

There are only a handful of bbw mega sites that I will promote, becuase the others are crap. If this rule was in effect, I would know that they have some substance in their members area, because I could see it all in the tour. It would also really help me out selling exclusive content :-)

But, my only problem with Visa telling us how to run our sites is that they arent taking any additional responsibility, its still all on us. when they can say "But, sir, you saw exactly what you were signing up for, at least 50% of that you cant see anywhere else, what was the problem" then visa can tell me what to do :-)
