Hey,
Our business is growing and both conversions and retention is getting better and better, however I would like a rentention/conversion consultant (a guy who knows all there is to know about optimizing paysite tours and memberareas). We are doing pretty well, but I am sure we can get better.

I would like you to work on one site to start with, and if results are there - I will hire you to do the rest of our paysites.

We have the $ and we are more than willing to invest what it takes.

My advice, free of charge:

1. Update daily
2. Exclusive high quality content - especially videos. People want videos, not pics. Lots of it.
3. Easy navigation in the members area. No outgoing links (like upsells, banners leading to other sites, etc.).

This is what all consultans will tell you. Usually after you pay them thousands of dollars.

1) we update 2-3 times pr day
2) we have 180gb of content on fast scsi disks - a lot of it exclusive
3) we have no outgoing links

as I said - we are doing pretty good...but we want to optimize it as much as possible. We've been around since 97, and we have more than the basic idea, however - I am very very sure that we (and everyone else btw) can get better...and we always try to improve our stats...

Thanks for the advice though - and you are totally right - those are good points.

Bucho, I once hired a consultant because I also thought that there was something more I could do to improve my sites. I hired a well-known person in the adult industry to consult this issue with. I paid $6k.... And I made exactly $35 from the deal.

The fact is that the member retention has gone to shit in the last few years and there is nothing you can do to bring it back to 97-99 year level. The average rentention used to be around 65%, now it's 35% and less (for sites with thousands of members). And there is pretty much nothing you can do about it unless you want to see your CB level going up high.

So what I'm saying here is that if you really have experience in the adult business (and since you have been in it since 97, you should have it), you will hardly find someone to make your paysites run significantly better.

You might have a good point - we are are doing just a tad better than 35% right now, so perhaps I should just be happy. Guess I am just greedy. Anyway the offer still stands though, however with the above in mind I will be a bit more critical in regards to references and examples.

I imagine you will get better retention if you dont base your whole site around Sobe's Cheap Content.. I was using some of that shit as a filler and people were rejecting it like a bad kidney, so i cant see it doing even remotely well as a site foundation.. So I found some better sources and boom

In ref to #1...or make it appear you update daily (ie: a script rotating from a gallery pool)...

also keep this in mind

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

I've tried 30 day free trial with 400 gigs of movie content for them to view after they got in, daily updates and the 30 day free trials converted at about 5%.

Your doing 60%+ on your sites doing 30 min free wow, is it just the ebooks that people just want to keep reading, but do they stay for long after that 1-3 days?

I don't offer trials on my site as they just don't convert. And my site sells itself with unique content
