Buying a car dilemma..

Now, I'm not the wealthiest motherfucker around, and I have a dilemma about buying a car. I want one, I don't necessarily need one. I will buy one anyways.. BUT my problem is the money.

I will be using my money on a project of mine, but should I use more on the project and buy a cheaper car, or buy a bmw and spend little on my project.

My dilemma goes further, I will be leaving finland in a few years.. if I buy a new bmw the value will be 50% less of what it is now when I leave. So, if I buy a cheaper car I will spend less on it now, and when I sell it.. well, I lose less money than with an expensive car.

A car is just a luxury product, that you will lose money on. If you have to think so hard a bout it, and will spend less on your business if you buy the BMW, I don't think it will be a wise decision to buy an expensive car.

Use the money to build your business, and in a few years you will probably make enough to buy a great car without having to worry about spending the money.

Buying a car is a great way to get rid of a lot of money very quickly ;-)

cars suck but you need em. buy a cheap car but not one that is so cheap that it will fuck up. i imagine u could get a great car for 3 - 4 grand.

for it.

OR just buy a cheap car to get you from point A to point B.

I have 5 cars. I bought 2 and leased 3 .
When you lease a car you only owe for the time you have your car. maybe that will work.

I would go for the "cheap car" and invest my money on the project. You don't need a BMW right now, you can buy one later where you will move in a few years. Probably it will be cheaper there as well.

Cheapest new car is 13k euros That's a 0.9 liter Toyota Yaris. i think you can get a new lada for 10k but I'm not sure where they sell those.

Well, probably you don't have in Finland the very very basic cars as we do here (US$5000 to $6000).

I don't want an old car, nothing pre 1995. They are too much hassle, waterpumps breaking, heaters not working.. been there, done that. I want a reliable car, which sadly equals new.

.....and no point in buying a cabriolet in finland. 9 months of winter.
