I don't think anyone would really be too happy about being occupied.. i'm sure it's not all it's cracked up to be.
If any country in the world was invated by another country.. for no real reason.. I'm sure any country would show that much resistance.
It's called a war / occupation, this implies ppl will die, usually in the ratio of 10 civilians per 1 combatant death, it implies that there will be hostages, POW's, a lots of nasty things.. it would be unrealistic to expect otherwise
