What are US troops supposed to do when the "insurgents" hide in crowds of women and children and fire on US personnel? Maybe you anti-US dirtbags should tell Iraqi insurgents to stop hiding behind innocent civilians. US troops also have to abide by the Rules of Engagement, so it's not like we're slaughtering crowds of women and children. At least 1 troop has to get shot at or killed before we can even open fire.
