    D-Money Show LIVE Returns today!!!

    OK, here's the deal, we're back!

    We've taken some time off to figure out how we want to continue doing these live shows, here's what we came up with.

    For today's show, we'll have audio only. I'm getting rid of the whole chat thing. Though it's cute and fun, it's a distraction to the show. Plus we have like a 10 to 1 lurker to chat ratio, which means the majority of people want to listen and not participate. For those wanting to participate, we can suggest calling in when we ask for callers or post a thread on GFY during the show and chat there. Or, find another IRC room to chat in if you must.

    Future shows we'll always have something important to discuss, mixed with some fun cool guests to help promote their services.

    Today's show will be about CC Processors. Why are everyone's checks so small lately? What happened? Is it scrubbing? What's the deal.

    So we'll have IBill and Epoch on as our featured guests and a possible CCBill rep, haven't heard back from them yet.

    The D$ Show starts in 2 hours, 1:00 pm pacific / 4:00 pm eastern. This is our normal time and day.

    In the future, we'll have a VIP members entrance to listen to the show live, the rest of our audience will listen to the archive a week later. Maybe next week we'll have that new VIP members area up and running.

    I hope to have you all there today to listen in on what's going on with this Visa thing, and the 3rd party processors. For me, as fun as the live chat was, it wasn't the focus of our live show. I'd rather chat boards like GFY get the traffic for the chat while we provide the audio.

    Soon we'll get back to the Acacia and IMPA topics.

          Well, some might not want to listen without a chat, I understand.

          We might bring it back if more people want it. But for now, we want to try a different approach and let the audio feed be the live show.

                                      Will definitely check out today's show on this new format. I personally feel I will like it better. Chatrooms just create a distraction from the actual info coming through.

                                          VIP's will be easy, just fill out a form and get a user and pass.

                                          It will be ready this week, maybe later today. Until it's ready, we'll let everyone listen in for today's show.

                                          The VIP's will have an e-mail reminder when we do our live show, helping our numbers grow.

                                          The chat feature might come back, maybe in a password protected members area. But for now, I enjoy trying new things, seeing if they work or not.

                                          We grew pretty big and couldn't accommodate the live audience turn outs. Setting it up to handle more people was a pain in the ass, so screening the live show is a nice quick fix. When I was thinking about this, I realized that a potential advertiser wants to see numbers, not hear a commercial. Forcing people to a page, archived or live is a better way to send traffic. Everyone can listen to an archive, no membership needed. You'll just hear it 6 days later.

                                                      Thanks, I think it's a good idea for now. It's not like people can't post here in GFY during the show. You know most GFY'ers are hooked on that refresh button and post seconds later anyway.

                                                      It's just not the direction we want to go. The live shows are full of great content and information. The show needs to be the focus.

                                                      For wemasters wanting to learn, it's better. For webmasters wanting to be social and chat, they'll be bummed. But if chatting is what they like, they can call in and be heard.

                                                          Personally I like the chat aspect of shows, since quite often questions or ideas for the guests pop up out of comments in the chat...

                                                                      KK, thanks for your input. The chat will be missed, no doubt. It's not like I couldn't bring it back at any time, or have a special show with chat once in a while.

                                                                                                                  How do they process checks? My income from them is all messed up because of these checks. I have for one of my accounts, for expample, $200 and some dollars in checks, and $400 and some in returned checks. Why?

                                                                                                                  From what I see, Epoch authorizes these check joins first, and then they get the info on insifficent funds, or wrong ABA, and so on. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. These surfers are getting access to my sites, downloading all my content, and getting it all for free.

                                                                                                                  There has to be a better way to process checks.

                                                                                                                      If you'd like to have your surfers wait until the check clears to get access, you can certainly do that, but you'll completely lose the impulse buyer that way.

                                                                                                                              Well, what about a tele check thing. I know that a lot of retail business use a check authentication process, to make sure their aren't bounced checks or bad history.

                                                                                                                              There is millions of dollars in our business, and I just don't understand how their is not a better method for checks.

                                                                                                                              Are their other payment options that anyone recommends so I don't have to use checks anymore.

Telecheck may have a program that you can use online, I'd suggest looking into it at their website.

                                                                                                                                  Other than that you simply need to realize that checks have the potential to add about 10% to your bottom line profit, if you want it, otherwise you don't take them.

                                                                                                                                  Checks are not all that bad, so long as you recognize the way it works at the end of the day.

                                                                                                                                      I will check into that. I'll be honest, the checks are not adding any money to my bottom line, most of them come back as returned, adn then I have to pay for all the bandwith they used, so in a sense, I lose money some weeks.

In the past, some of your guests were b-o-r-i-n-g! The chatroom was the only good thing for some of the shows.

What's with the shows with *meaning*?? I have enjoyed the recent shows that covered Acacia. However, that is not your forte. You do not have the personality of background to cover serious stuff. You did a good job considering you were reading questions you had gotten from webmasters in advance. Stick with the funny stuff and your pimp shows. That is when you shine.

                                                                                                                                                      Let's see, I do agree with you about me being too serious. I enjoy being a goof ball. I said in my show I'll still go back to being my pimp self, just with a serious topic and guest on each show. The reason I chose a serious approach for today is simple. I want to reach out to a larger audience. I already reached to the ones that enjoyed the goofy shows, now we wanted to expand our reach. So next week, it's not too serious of a subject like IMPA, I'll go back to having fun with guests. I do agree that I should balance it more instead of being too serious.

When we can't hear your guests and when you are giving out url's, there is no way, we are going to get the correct information. When there is a chatroom, you can type the url's onto the screen. Chatroom people contribute pictures, website url's, and a lot of valuable facts which we will not get from you.

                                                                                                                                                          Sometimes we see webmasters in the chatroom we have been trying to reach. The screen gives up an opportunity to share information with each other. If there are idiots fighting and playing games, we can ignore them. If the screen is a distraction, then we can leave the chatroom or just temporarily look away.

                                                                                                                                                          Lurkers??? Of course there are lurkers. What do you call many of the morons who are listening to your show? LURKERS. What would we do without the lurkers of the industry. Not everybody wants to fill the screen with comments. The chatroom serves many purposes, and I'm sorry you don't realize that.

                                                                                                                                                          How are we supposed to direct questions to the guests? And finally, if you are giving away prizes, the screen is vital. Not everyone wants to call into the show, or maybe they can't because the sound has disappeared and the phonelines are busy.

Of course there are lurkers. What do you call many of the morons who are listening to your show? LURKERS. What would we do without the lurkers of the industry. Not everybody wants to fill the screen with comments. The chatroom serves many purposes, and I'm sorry you don't realize that.

                                                                                                                                                                  And Lurkers aren't a bad thing, I hope I didn't give that impression. I was just saying from a potential advertiser perspective, it makes the show look way smaller then what the numbers really are. If I'm trying to sell an ad, they see 30 to 60 webmasters in the chat. They base their decision on those numbers, thinking it's not worth much if that's their audience. I'd rather a potential advertiser to see the benefit in the real numbers hitting the page rather then the numbers in a live chat.

                                                                                                                                                                  Our archive gets way more listeners then the live show, it's a great advertising option for the money. So in summary, the real motive behind no chat room is so we can get more advertisers.

                                                                                                                                                                  Not to say we won't go back to it soon, we might. BUt if you want an honest answer, that's it. The live chat fooled potential advertisers into thinking that was the whole audience.

I listen whenever I can. Today, I missed your show, and I'm looking forward to listening to the archive. Many of us love archives. It just isn't possible to listen to every radio show at the times they are done live.

                                                                                                                                                                      You and KB have given me many moments of laughter. Lately, I see KB fighting with Shaw. I see you getting married and becoming a more *serious* pimp. I have enjoyed your funny and your serious shows. No reason why you can't do both.

                                                                                                                                                                      You are the best looking radio personality we have, and you have a pleasant way about you. It is your show. If you feel the need to experiment, then do it.

I was saying when I do serious important things like IMPA I'd keep it serious, I hit the wrong letter and it changed what I meant.

                                                                                                                                                                          The reaching to a larger audience by making a screener process is unrelated. The larger audience is in the archive page which everyone will still be able to listen to.

                                                                                                                                                                          Pimpandho.com isn't a dead project, we're filming tonight in LA at a hot club. We've been delayed, which sucks, but it's being released soon.

KB will make his return to radio next week, with is sense of humor. That Brad thing was getting out of control. Looking forward to your input about todays live show, it was more serious, sort of like the Acacia interview.
