Trade management by Country? (for linux/apache)

spent the last several hours looking for IP by country db that will integrate with linux/apache. found some stuff, but unsure if it's any good.

Do you do that? What works well?

Seems a big problem would be the time delay between the hit and serving the page if you have a large db. All the country db are huge.

Would prefer to have a trade management script that trades country for country. (Ie, you send me a chinese surfer, I send you a chinese surfer.)

It would be fine if it just grouped the worthless traffic together: china, singapore, russia, etc.

But there are other things which a man is afraid to tell even to himself, and every decent man has a number of such things stored away in his mind."

Why is traffic from places like China, Singapore and Russia considered "worthless"? Pardon my ignorance - newbie.

It's hard to get money out of Chinese surfers. They don't have credit cards, and it's illegal.

Other countries are just plain full of fraud artists. Russia, Ukrain, etc.
