Why would anyone need a gun?
You said "shooting guns are fun", but yet your getting a conceal weapons permit.
Have I shot a gun? Fuck yeah. I'm a former US Marine who used to get my kicks out on the range during my off time. I've shot nearly every hand gun, and every machine gun from an M16, to Mac10's, to UZIs, and even AK47's.
However, that's all child's play. My job in the Maries was a TOW missile man. Why play with a handgun that can only kill one man at a time when you can fire off a million dollar round and destroy a building. Now that's fun.
However, as I've grown older I've found there are things much more fun than shooting off guns. I've recently discovered my motorocycle tops out at 186MPH, and I also seem to enjoy destroying Jetskis.
Here's the deal with a gun..... You get into a simple fight and it's just that - a fist fight. Bring a handgun into the fight and it changes everything. Either your gonna get killed - or your gonna kill someone. If you kill someone chances are you'll be going to jail. And if not, they'll drag your ass into civil court.Herschel Savage

to tell you the truth. i avoid pretty much all confrontations as much as possible. i find that working things out in a rational manner is always best. especially when one or both of the parties have a gun. i would never pull a gun out for intimidation. there's a huge responsibility that comes with something that deadly. but i would rather have it and never need it, than need it and not have it.Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.Comment

i never really was a big fan of anything made by glock, smith & wesson, or ruger. but, that's just me.
i'm also not a big fan of anything 9mm, except the mp5 family.
