I need help - The ultimate Diet threat

    Ok, here it goes.

Since I have moved into our new home and away from civilization I have been cooking everyday (I love to cook). I don't get much exercise (duh) since I sit in front of my pc on a daily basis.

So I managed to gain 17 lbs and hating life right now. I have tried almost everything and you are all my last resort. This is what I figure. I need to loose those 17 lbs before I am going to NYC to Nina's party (or I am going to be miserable). The party is on September 20th.

So I would like to have you alls permission to keep a diary here, honest food and munchie diary. I figure if I be blunt and honest with you all and get beat up if I do break down and eat stuff I am not supposed to I will have an easier time to loose weight.

But since I will be posting all the time until my due date (sept 20th) this threat will be on top a lot.

So let me know if you all want to help me loose those 17 lbs (I settle for 12 lbs).

I am going to do the Atkins diet, which is guaranteed to loose me the weight until September 20th.

For anybody else who wants to go on a 25 day diet with me, feel free to ad your progress report here also. It might help..

    Day 1
    9:42am
Having coffee so far, was scared to death to go on the scale since I ate a bunch of munchies last night while watching tv. I went anyway and it screamed back at me 147 lbs. I am looking at the bottle of stackers 2 which are sitting in front of me, hoping I wont need them. God help us all... 17 lbs to go. My normal weight is 130 lbs (I am 5'7" tall")
I have tons of work today, so I am keeping the coffee floaing until the afternoon when I have to cook dinner.

Ok your first problem is, you just got started, said you needed and wanted to lose 17lbs, but would settle for 12? You just started and you're already settling...wassup with that?

If we had time to exercise.. I don't think we'd be fat. How's that?
            ..and I'm off.

              Well here you go..

I am honest here, I don't like exercising. I get up, work, work, than I have to fix dinner (afternoon more like it) I start to cook at 3pm (schools out than). We eat around 4-5pm. Afterwards I have to take my kids to a variety of afternoon school activities. By the time were back its 7 or 8pm.
Than I clean the house and there never seems to be time. Time is something very valuable and sitting there and exercise for an hour is just not me. I hate it, in my mind I am loosing time.

Even when I go on GFY, I am either uploading or downloading stuff.

Ok, I am a lazy bum.

Yeah the Atkins diet is a good idea - not!

Are you ready to cold turkey when your body cries out for charbohydrate? Your head will pound you will feel like shite for days.

Think of your body like a an apple basket, if you put 5 apples in a day you need to ensure you take out 6.

As someone pointed out you need to excersise, even if you walk around the block you need to do something.

Also dont eat anything after 6pm as the fooder just sits in your gut.

You have a lot to loose in a short time you need to excersise, try swimming

                      good luck

A steady diet of dick never hurt any woman! I would however recommend that you stay a little thick since that's what real men like!

Steffie you might want to look into the South Beach Diet, its kind of like the Atkins Diet but much better for you. I lost 10 lbs in just over a week doing it. Hit me up on ICQ if you want more info on it #127142695

You should start off by cutting out those "munchies" you have while watching TV. It's hard I know, I'm in love with Oreo's, but I'm not trying to lose weight either. Replace munchies with carrot sticks. It takes more calories to digest carrots than the amount of calories you gain. Any fruit or vegetable snack would be good.

Stay away from any carbonated drinks. Drink plenty of water. Take it easy on the bread and pastas, but don't completely cut them out of your diet. Eat more healthy meat, like chicken or fish, instead of fatty beef.

When you wake up every morning, spend 5 or 10 minutes doing "exercises". Anyone can spare 5 minutes a day to keep their body in shape. Dancing would be a good way to burn off some calories.

Instead of soda pop, try fruit juice with sparkling water.

hey good for you.. it's amazing how little it takes.. walking is so good for you.. screw jogging or running.. it's either walking or cycling, cycling gives you the cardio of running without the impact on your joints. Tai ghi and pilates are other good low impact fitness routines. Tai chi is good with those wrist and leg weights.

hey I just cut back on the weed and lost 5 pounds, go figure hehe

Make a list of snacks and things you like to eat that are healthy, and stock up on them. Diet vanilla pepsi is and other sodas can be good to kill the cravings!

                                              Day 2 - 9:32 am - 145 lbs

Yesterday was caotic. I quit working online at 3 pm to get ready to cook. I ended up fixing Skinless Chicken in lemmon and herb sauce with Potatoes and Corn on the Cobb. I drank one Diet Pepsi.

At 5 pm I did my running around, taking the kids to a variety of dance, cheer and other stuff.

5:30 - 7pm, uploading more stuff and making a pot of coffee. Taking one Stacker 2. We had a huge storm it sucked and I was unable to walk the dog, so I did the next best, getting dirty clothes out of the teens rooms (how I can end up with 4 loads of dirty clothes in under 3 days is amazing)

7:30 - Getting the kids - They do homework I work again. 9pm I am taking a break and watch Paradise Hotel. This was hard, no munchies, I drank coffee and smoked way to much

10 pm everybody is in bed and I am wired because of the coffee. I went back to work and finally went to bed at 3:30

I am sitting here with coffee, just got done putting the flower pots back into the sun, checking emails and answering mashine. Have to call back tons of people today.

Ok, more coffee - more cigarettes

Lets hope this day goes by better, have no clue what I am going to cook yet, will check the freezer later

Partying since '96 and not going anywhere Anna's Dorm
