I thought MS stopped creating updates for these old OS?...

Several months back MS finally took 'notice' that there is a HUGE number of systems in the World still running 98. For reasons such as companies can't afford the newer hardware, or they can't afford to pay licensing fees etc etc etc. It mentioned quite a few reasons in the article.

Since the Feds were on them about things still, they decided it was in their best interest to restart their issuances of critical patches for 98 up to a certain date (I forget the exact date but its about a year or maybe more from now).

The system I'm on at the moment is 98 and it popped up a critical patch w i n d o w Tuesday evening. Soooo turn on your 98's and get 'em while they're hot!
