Hussein was doing a better job then the US are right now at chilling down the religions. There can't be democracy there there are too many religions fightning for power . US probably killed 10x more ppl then Saddam did in the past 10 years during the war .
I'm not saying Saddam was good or nothing . All I'm saying is that there is a big mess right now and if the USA leave Iraq, that will be the BIGGEST civil war in history .
