They've probably been the victim of a browser hijack. I got one a while back that made a popup spawn every time I loaded The Hun's site and I thought the Hun had sold out. I mentioned it on GFY, and everyone was saying "virus". When I looked into it, it was a browser plugin (that I never downloaded of my own free will of course), that not only did this on The Hun, but also on Richard's Realm and Hardcore Junky. What was unique about it was that the popup matched the background color of the sites when you visited them. The popup had a standard "Search For Free Porn" search box in it. Hard to imagine anyone making much money off of that, since those sites have many thousands of archived galleries. I had that same thing happen to me. At first I only noticed it on pages I built and I KNEW I had no pops in those pages... after a long while trackign shit, I found out how I got it. I got it from clicking a link in my referals stats from a traffic broker's redirect. Their "redirect" script was what they used for driving the traffic around to different customers. I was directed to a "Sexocean" type site that immedately gave my popup blocker 550 pop warnings. My pc speaker was going nuts. The site had scripting that edited my hosts file, added the "pluggin" to internet explorer, and KILLED NAV2003 until next reboot. This little piece of shit reacted to sextracker and randomly reacted with paycounter and porngraph....
The site I was redirected to that CAUSED this to happen has already been mentioned in this thread. That is ALL I will say.Comment

That's the whole purpose of this thing: to prove our ratios for a well-designed site. 'Well-designed site' doesn't necessarily mean 80% Flash or 200K graphics. I'm looking for a site that is:
Attractive & likely to convert (of course)
Fast-loading (most of the planet is still on dialup)
Nothing anyone says in their post, or anything except whether I like the site counts in any way.

If the traffic is delivered in a console then most of your hits will have a blank referer, since MSIE doesn't send it for a window.open(). However, not everyone uses IE, so you should still see SOME referers. If you have thousands of hits with not a single referer then something is definitely funny.Originally posted by RAM

I don't have any thoughts on it, except that I'm sending you the same exact traffic everyone else is getting. We get reorders every single day, and I know damn good and well that people aren't paying for worthless traffic over and over. If our traffic was no good, I sure as hell wouldn't be up on here giving it away to prove that it's good traffic. I refunded your money because I had no explanation, and I still don't know what's up with that. I'm still sending the traffic because I'm trying to find out, and I appreciate you keeping me posted.
I believe that the traffic isn't working for you. Why it isn't working for you, I have no idea. I refunded your money because of that, and I'm still sending the traffic because I want to know even worse than you do.
Since we can't control what goes on with every customer's site(s), we have pretty much the same exact standard refund policy as every other traffic seller/broker.
