I was just looking around the trademark site and noticed Jenna came up several times, but the site is so uncomprehensive that I couldnt tell. Is "Jenna" a trademark? How the fuck can you trademark a common name?

Yes, the name Jenna is indeed trademarked.
About a year ago we launched a site called Jennasxxxlivecam.com. Within a day Jenna's company contacted us, and told us this was a trademarked name. I had our attorney look into it, and sure enough Jenna is a trademarked name.
Jenna's company insisted we drop the name but they were very nice about it. We changed the site name and bought a new URL and the problem was solved quickly.Herschel Savage

Just because you trademark something dosen't mean it's going
to hold up in court. I know this from some domain lawsuits I have been through with Steve Workman.
Also there can be several trademarks on the same name.Comment

madonna got her domain back but this doesnt mean you can't use the name madonna in your domain. If you do a small search you'll find thousands.
If i had an amateur model that her name was Jenna I would use it on the domain. Why I would do that? Because common sense tells me I have this right. In worst case if a negative domain dispute would take place, I would just lose it.Comment

Yeah, we could have taken them to court. However, that's a waste of my time and money - all for something I don't really want to fight for anyhow. Also, Jenna's company is near our office and I wanted to make nice with them.Herschel Savage
