My mothers father (my grandfather) was old school Italian. My mother told me when she was in high school when a guy would come to her house to take her on a date, her father would take out his pistol and say to the guy "Iffa you do anything witha my daughter I'ma gonna kill you."

some funny storie about my dad... when i first moved out of the house.. my father helped me pack and move..brought mom and the little bro's along...all was good and well..so i thought...I was informed by my little bros later on that when dad dropped me off he was furious...he was trying to leave and some poor guy was stopped at a red light in front of him..well my dad was having none of that...jumped out of the car with his sawed off shotgun in hand.. shoved it in the guys window and told him to run the light and get the fuck out of his way.

when i brought my last boyfriend home to meet my father (the one before hubby).. the ex put his hand out to shake my dad and my dad just looked at him and told him he would rather shoot him ...well ex bowed up and was ready to pound my dad right then and there....seems my dad thought this guy beat me up..hahahahahahah...I had to inform him it was the other way around... my brothers would be my witness....dad actually apologized to the guy a year later....i was shocked!
