I am finally joining the ranks of those that can't stand France. I stuck with them until now.

"France expressed objections to placing Hamas and Islamic Jihad on the European Union(EU)'s list of "terror organizations", according to an Israeli report on Monday.

Israel's Yediot Aharonot website reported that diplomatic advisor to French President Jacques Chirac, Maurice Gourdault-Montagne, told the Israeli ambassador in France, Nissim Zvilli, during a weekend meeting, that there is no evidence that these two organizations are "terror groups."

"If we find that Hamas and Islamic Jihad are indeed terror groups opposed to peace, we may have to change the EU's stand," Gordo conveyed. "However, we mustn't limit ourselves to one, clear cut, position."

they are good for going to day trips to and getting top quality wine for like a buck. Dijon mustard too...can buy a bucket of that for what it costs to by a teaspoon of it in London. Oh, and their Pateries are to die for.

oh and iced tea..go to the hypermakets and buy iced tea there. Iced tea used to be impossible to get in the UK. It is better now but it is way over priced.

Everytime my Grandparents visit France (where they are originally from), they get jacked by some arabs. They refer to them as France's ******s.

I'm so glad they got out.

I have uncles that the french army has been trying to draft their entire life. A friend of the family went to visit and as soon as he got off the plane they enlisted his ass.

This just goes to show that the people who say France cowardly runs from every confrontation are correct. Here they have a chance to stand up to terrorism but sheepishly don't want to make any noise. Belgium nudges it out for me because I like Bruges so much and English is more widely spoken. Plus you can drive to France in no time at all. All the same part of the world though.

I'm simply saying that it is time that we recognize that they are on their own side....If they can make money off of Saddam Hussain's regime, they will support him.

They used to be our allies at one time, those days are over.

Alliances throughout history start and end over time. In this case, they have not been our allies for a good 25 years or so....starting a few years ofter they were kicked out of French Indochina. They aren't against us, but we have to stop expecting them to be an ally when they aren't.....that's all.

yes, because you have the heat every year. The temps we had in Europe this year were the highest rince records began. No air conditioning, etc.

That said, the rest of Europe did fair better than France even if sometimes it did feel like we would melt.

Hard to explain. Your location says UK so I assume you would compare it to English mustard. You know how English mustard can give you a nose bleed if you have too much in one bite? Well, Dijon doesn't exatly do that but it has a nice bite and tastes a bite more like it is made with wine. You can infact get get it made with wine.

My family has just always been mustard fans. We feel odd if we don't have atleast five different kinds in the house. I am fond of German mustards and good old yellow American mustard but Dijon is good too and particuarly good to use in cooking.
